Within the world of Minecraft mods, Level Up! is as engaging as they come. With 12 new skills and a cool levelling system, Level Up mod is extremely addictive. Improving your abilities becomes incredibly rewarding, with every point you put into a skill you get something out of it. You also get to choose a class which gives you a boost in certain skills associated with that class. You can become a master swordsmen, Archer or, after a while, become the greatest at…well, everything. It definitely feels like an improvement as it gives something to reach for, that next level in archery could be just two cows away. Then there’s the skills. The new skills are really fascinating to try out; it can be great to regain that feeling of curiosity and delve into new depths of a beautiful and captivating game. Collected experience orbs has never been more imported, all of a sudden those little green dots become so much more important. Experience hunting becomes key and, once obtained, can really dictate your focus within the game. For example, if you spend all your skill points on levelling up mining it becomes faster and you get a chance of a double drop – after that you’d probably spend even more time mining (as if that could be possible). Yet Level Up Really does make you want to play more, it pushes you, teases you and captivates you. The amount of times whilst playing this you find yourself saying “one more level” is ridiculous. It’s very enjoyable and an excellent way to feel like you’re in the world of Minecraft, experiencing all the wonder it has to offer. As if Minecraft could become more addictive.
